Job content

The Project Manager is in charge of the overall execution of our industrial projects worldwide, with a focus on EMEA. Our projects, varying in size between 200k to 40 million €, involve engineering, manufacturing, supply, up to the supervision of the installation & commissioning of the plant, and in some cases including turnkey site works:

  • You are the Central contact point between the client and all the internal departments involved in our HQ and within our group affiliates worldwide, as well as external vendors and subcontractors;
  • You are in charge of coordinating & leading all involved to reach the common goal of successful, profitable project for all parties within the agreed deadline and to our quality standards;
  • You manage multiple project (usually 4 to 5 projects at same time at different stages) in various regions of the world, mainly EMEA;
  • You travel to clients, suppliers and group companies and taking part to pre-sales negotiation meetings with client (average of 5-10% of the time);
  • You organize & lead all project interface meetings from project signature till successful start-up: Kick-off, Purchasing, Engineering, Planning, Shipping, Pre-commissioning & Start-up; Debriefing;
  • You gather technical specifications from engineering departments, approving the spec’s & drawings;
  • You send price inquiries to suppliers, filtering technically & commercially the quotations before finalizing purchase orders – in coordination with our purchasing department;
  • You prepare & update project planning and project progress reports;
  • You take control of project budget as sold and monitoring the latest forecast revisions (material, hours & expenses);
  • You tackle any commercial, legal, logistics issues with the client and guardian of our contractual obligations.

Your profile :

  • Education: Civil or Industrial Engineer in any of the following fields: (electro)mechanics, chemical, process, bio engineering;
  • You already have a couple of years of experience in industrial projects, with coordination responsibilities;
  • Excellent communication skills in an international, multicultural and multidisciplinary environment is expected;
  • You are a self-starter and have a proactive mindset. You enjoy working in a project environment where you receive autonomy and where you deal with many internal and external stakeholders;
  • You manage to keep at all time a helicopter view of the projects you are working on. You have excellent organizational skills and are able to prioritize and work according to concrete project milestones;
  • You are fluent in English, you preferably speak French and/or Dutch. Any other language is an asset;
  • You are open for occasional short travels abroad (5 to 10% of the time).

As part of the Process Engineering team you are responsible for all technical and process related matters in the department of Seed Crushing and Solvent Extraction for vegetable oil. The key responsibilities are:

  • You are involved in the whole project cycle: from feasibility studies till start-up of the plants;
  • You create all engineering documents: basic PFD, sizing & specifications of equipment, heat & mass balances, utilities and consumption, P&ID’s, operating manuals, description of automation, HAZOP studies….
  • By doing this you will work in close relation with the Project Managers and will work transversely with other departments of DSB and with external stakeholders: customers, suppliers, certification institutes…
  • You will be in charge of improving existing processes and equipment as well as contributing towards development of new designs;

In deze strategische rol sta je in voor de coördinatie van het milieuteam van Tauw, dat momenteel 4 medewerkers telt. Het doel is de milieuactiviteiten in Vlaanderen verder uitbouwen. Dit houdt in dat je:

  • Nauw betrokken bent bij lopende projecten en zelf een aantal sleutelprojecten realiseert van A tot Z;

Job content

You will be a key member of the Special Projects department at STIB. This department focuses on strategic underground projects, related to metros, trams and other specific infrastructure such as datacenters and vehicle depots. Your role as Project Manager is double:

Project Management:

  • For a certain number of projects, your main responsibility is to manage projects throughout their entire cycle, while taking into account quality, budget and timing;
  • You define the Project Charter and you liaise on a regular basis with the Project Board, to define each steps of the project and validate potential deviations;
  • You coordinate and supervise the engineering phases related to technical documents and specifications;
  • You supervise the execution phase of the works until the final delivery. This includes on-site follow-up;
  • Throughout every step of the project, you liaise with the experts at stake within the Special projects department and with the external stakeholders: engineering companies, architects, construction companies…

Technical Know-how

  • For multidisciplinary projects, you act as the technical expert in civil engineering;
  • You coordinate and guide the design & calculation phases, until tendering;
  • You supervise the work performed by external engineering companies;
  • You liaise with all the other technical disciplines involved in the projects.

Your profile :

  • You have a Master’s degree in Civil/Structural/Construction Engineering;
  • You have several years of experience as Project Manager, working on the engineering and/or execution side of construction and/or civil infrastructure projects;
  • Prior experience in public projects is a great plus. You are in any case able to combine rigor with flexibility: this mindset is required in a semi-public environment, where extensive project cycles are common;
  • You have great interpersonal and communication skills: you can coordinate, coach, inspire and convince people within a transversal framework;
  • You are professionally proficient in French and have at least a good passive knowledge of Flemish.

For clients all over mainland Europe, you drive efficient and effective handling of customer issues, primarily for the range of instrumentation, but also with a secondary role for supporting the automated robotic systems This includes following responsibilities in terms of:

On-site interventions

  • Deployment and calibration of new HighRes devices on customer sites as well as future upgrades of installed devices;
  • First line issue handling, diagnosis and communication with customers primarily for HighRes devices and secondary for our robotic systems;
  • Re-integration of HighRes devices back into HighRes systems by re-teaching the robotic system (if required) and checking device/system operation, following any installation or service work;

  • Development of customer relationships in co-ordination with customer service director and other customer facing people within the company;
  • Communication and resolution of issues with other departments/teams within HighRes while maintaining ownership;
  • Issue resolution both via back office support (telephone, email, remote connection) and customer site visits within defined service level agreements;
  • Follow-up with customers upon completion of issues to maintain the highest level of service;
  • Co-ordination of issues with third party suppliers of equipment and instrumentation integrated on to the robotic systems (secondary role);

Reporting

  • Clear, concise and accurate updates of the customer support management system for issue handling and customer communication;
  • Maintaining the customer service helpdesk knowledge base with applicable issues and resolutions, from both internal sources and customer reported issues.

Your profile :

  • You have a technical degree in electromechanics, automation and/or robotics;
  • You have a first relevant experience in a field service role, preferably in a high-tech/clean room environment, such as pharma, electronics or medical devices;
  • On a technical level, you have hands-on experience in instrumentation & control software and hardware, as well as in automation systems;
  • You also have solid basics in LV electricity;
  • You work in an accurate and structured way, you have an eye for detail;
  • You are customer-oriented and have a proactive mindset. You have a knack for Continuous Improvement and like to go the extra mile;
  • You are fluent in English, both written and orally;
  • You are flexible to travel across Europe on a day-to-day base.
