Your profile :

  • You have a higher degree in Civil Engineering/Construction or equivalent by experience;
  • You have several years of experience in a commercial role in AEC industry, with a proven track-record in closing deals. Preferably, you have built this experience in structural engineering software;
  • You have outstanding communication skills, which enable you to address your clients in a clear and convincing way;
  • You fluently speak Dutch and are professionally proficient in English;

In this role, you are part of the engineering team within the Research department of Reynaers:

  • You take the lead on research projects related to the development of new technology. The topics you cover include: natural ventilation, thermal insulation, strength of materials, energy performance, acoustics, safety…
  • Around the same topics, you provide engineering support for special requests coming from various departments in R&D and from the worldwide branches of Reynaers;
  • Overall, you perform FEM simulations, calculations and practical tests, relying on the Industry 4.0 technology of the Reynaers Technology Centre;

For clients all over mainland Europe, you drive efficient and effective handling of customer issues, primarily for the range of instrumentation, but also with a secondary role for supporting the automated robotic systems This includes following responsibilities in terms of:

On-site interventions

  • Deployment and calibration of new HighRes devices on customer sites as well as future upgrades of installed devices;
  • First line issue handling, diagnosis and communication with customers primarily for HighRes devices and secondary for our robotic systems;
  • Re-integration of HighRes devices back into HighRes systems by re-teaching the robotic system (if required) and checking device/system operation, following any installation or service work;
  • Providing preventative maintenance on customer instruments and systems covered by applicable service contracts or as standalone purchases and maintaining the appropriate service documentation (in co-ordination with HighRes devices team);

Communication & Customer Relationship

  • Development of customer relationships in co-ordination with customer service director and other customer facing people within the company;
  • Communication and resolution of issues with other departments/teams within HighRes while maintaining ownership;
  • Issue resolution both via back office support (telephone, email, remote connection) and customer site visits within defined service level agreements;
  • Follow-up with customers upon completion of issues to maintain the highest level of service;
  • Co-ordination of issues with third party suppliers of equipment and instrumentation integrated on to the robotic systems (secondary role);

Reporting

  • Clear, concise and accurate updates of the customer support management system for issue handling and customer communication;
  • Maintaining the customer service helpdesk knowledge base with applicable issues and resolutions, from both internal sources and customer reported issues.

Your profile :

  • You have a technical degree in electromechanics, automation and/or robotics;
  • You have a first relevant experience in a field service role, preferably in a high-tech/clean room environment, such as pharma, electronics or medical devices;
  • On a technical level, you have hands-on experience in instrumentation & control software and hardware, as well as in automation systems;
  • You also have solid basics in LV electricity;

You will be a key member of the Special Projects department at STIB. This department focuses on strategic underground projects, related to metros, trams and other specific infrastructure such as datacenters and vehicle depots. Your role as Project Manager is double:

Project Management:

  • For a certain number of projects, your main responsibility is to manage projects throughout their entire cycle, while taking into account quality, budget and timing;
  • You define the Project Charter and you liaise on a regular basis with the Project Board, to define each steps of the project and validate potential deviations;
  • You coordinate and supervise the engineering phases related to technical documents and specifications;
  • You supervise the execution phase of the works until the final delivery. This includes on-site follow-up;
  • Throughout every step of the project, you liaise with the experts at stake within the Special projects department and with the external stakeholders: engineering companies, architects, construction companies…

Technical Know-how

  • For multidisciplinary projects, you act as the technical expert in civil engineering;
  • You coordinate and guide the design & calculation phases, until tendering;
  • You supervise the work performed by external engineering companies;
  • You liaise with all the other technical disciplines involved in the projects.

Your profile :

  • You have a higher technical degree in Civil/Structural/Construction Engineering;
  • You have several years of experience working on the engineering and/or execution side of construction and/or civil infrastructure projects;
  • Prior experience in public projects is a great plus. You are in any case able to combine rigor with flexibility: this mindset is required in a semi-public environment, where extensive project cycles are common;
  • You have great interpersonal and communication skills: you can coordinate, coach, inspire and convince people within a transversal framework;
  • You are professionally proficient in French and have at least a good passive knowledge of Flemish.

In deze rol coördineer je op zelfstandige en efficiënte wijze de projecten van je eigen multidisciplinaire team. Dit houdt in dat je:

  • De Unit Milieu Management Vlaanderen binnen Tauw verder uitbreidt;
  • Het commercieel beleid uitdraagt en zorgt voor een optimaal klantencontact binnen je team;

As a Customer Service Engineer you will be part of a team composed of passionate structural engineers who strive to support in the best possible way the clients of SCIA, through tailor-made advice and technical solutions. You will mainly work for clients in Belgium, The Netherlands and the UK. You will become an expert of our software while providing technical support, training, product presentations and demonstrations to our clients. These will be your main responsibilities:

  • Liaise by phone or mail with our customers about specific technical issues related to our software and structural engineering in general;
  • Develop tailor-made and thorough solutions for the customers;
  • Perform hand calculations in order to proof the correctness of the calculations;
  • Give trainings:
    • In-house or at the customer site;
    • Basic, detailed and theoretical trainings about calculating reinforcement, performing a steel code check, …
    • Custom-made trainings;
  • Give presentations:
    • At events about new features, product improvements, …
    • In support of the commercial team through product demonstrations;
    • Webinars about special features within SCIA Engineer;
  • Consultancy for our customers about all kinds of CAD or BIM projects;
  • Assist the product development team by transferring customer demands, bugs and make some suggestions about new features.

Your profile :

  • You are recently graduated as Master in Construction/Civil/Structural Engineering;
  • You preferably have a first experience (internship, student job) working for an engineering company/design office in AEC industry;
  • You have good theoretical knowledge in terms of structural engineering. You have good notions of Eurocodes;
  • You are familiar with structural analysis software. Knowledge of SCIA is a plus, but not a must;
  • You are keen on developing your technical expertise, while having a customer-oriented approach;
  • You have good communication skills, both oral and written;
  • You can fluently work in both Flemish and English;
  • In normal times, you are open to travel for short trips in Belgium and The Netherlands for about 20% of the time.

  • Purpose: with a strong focus on hunting & technical know-how, this job is about active networking, analyzing potential customer needs, answering these with concrete solutions and, eventually, closing deals and building new client relationships as well as extending existing partnerships;
  • Strategy: you work out an annual organizational plan for sales and local marketing activities in your region while taking into account both the short-term and long-term objectives. Once the plan is confirmed, you have the freedom to undertake all actions in order to make things happen;
  • Client Relationship: you act as a true ambassador of SCIA and live up to the top-quality standards of a company renowned for its excellent retention rate.  In order to further develop long-term client relationships, it is key to manage at all times the expectations of the clients and offer individualized solutions. In that perspective, you also identify new up- & cross-selling opportunities;
  • Approach: you give convincing technical sales presentations to technical directors & high-level executives. You are capable to provide the client with a higher and differentiating value proposition, according to SCIA’s strategy and core values. You make sure that the information shared with the clients is at all times comprehensive and up-to-date. At the same time, you ensure punctual administration and reporting thanks a daily use of the CRM system;
  • Team work: while enjoying plenty of autonomy in your role, you can count on a dedicated and proactive Customer Support & Inside Sales team and will report directly to the Chief Sales Officer.

Your profile :

  • You have a higher degree in Civil Engineering/Construction or equivalent by experience
  • You have several years of experience in a commercial role in AEC industry, with a proven track-record in closing deals;
  • You have built this business development experience working for a company that develops and/or sells software related to civil/structural engineering;
  • You have outstanding communication skills, which enable you to address your clients in a clear and convincing way;
  • You fluently speak German and are professionally proficient in English;
  • You enjoy a role with a wide range of autonomy and that is mostly home-based;
  • You have an entrepreneurial and “get-things-done” philosophy;
  • You appreciate a flexible and agile environment, where short-line communication and a no-nonsense mentality are a given.
