Technical Sales Engineer in Engines

Job content:

As Technical Sales Engineers, you are the bridge between the sales and engineering department and report directly to the sales manager. Your goal is to guarantee a clear communication on the products to the sales team. These are your core responsibilities:

  • For all technical issues, you are the internal point of contact for clients and salespersons;
  • You analyse the client’s questions ans propose tailor-made solutions ;
  • You support the sales team by being the front line between engineering and sales;
  • You act as the quality guarantor for all technical documentation during offer phase of the projects;
  • You are considered to be the technical advisor with the clients on specific problematics;

Your profile:

Contenu de fonction:

Au sein d’une équipe de projet, vous êtes le responsable du volet « électricité » d’une réalisation. A ce titre, vous êtes en charge des tâches suivantes :

  • Concevoir les installations BT/MT ;
  • Établir les plans et notes de calculs nécessaires au dimensionnement du matériel (sections de câble, puissance transformateurs, etc.) ;
  • Responsable de vos propres commandes: spécifier les équipements pour leur approvisionnement et effectuer la sélection technique des fournisseurs ;
  • Gestion des FAT’s : effectuer le suivi et les réceptions en usine des équipements ;
  • Établir les dossiers de montage ;
  • Point de contact technique pour les acteurs locaux des projets ;
  • Apporter une expertise technique au personnel sur site ;
  • Participer activement aux essais et à la mise en service.

Votre profil :

  • Vous êtes ingénieur civil ou industriel avec une spécialisation en électricité/électrotechnique ;
  • Vous avez une première expérience dans la conception et la réalisation de projets industriels, de préférence liés à la production d’électricité ;
  • Vous êtes autonome et créatif ;
  • Vous aimez travailler au sein d’une équipe compacte, dynamique et solidaire ;
  • Vous appréciez la variation entre le travail de bureau et de terrain ;
  • Curieux, ouvert et orienté vers l’international. De l’expérience sur des projets internationaux est un sérieux atout ;

Als Project Advisor werk je met het team samen aan bodemonderzoeken, saneringsprojecten of andere opdrachten in het kader van Bodem Kwaliteitsmanagement en Site Development.

Dit houdt in dat je :

  • Oriënterende en beschrijvende bodemonderzoeken uitvoert;
  • Betrokken bent bij het opstellen van bodemsaneringsprojecten en bestekken;
  • Saneringswerken begeleidt vanop kantoor en op de werf;

Jouw profiel :

Elia is the company in charge of the Belgian HV network: it ensures the development and the maintenance of the grid and guarantees reliable energy flows.

Key strategic projects in infrastructure have been launched over the last few years to upgrade the HV grid. This way, it can successfully embrace nowadays and tomorrow’s energy challenges: better interconnectivity with neighbouring countries and integration of offshore wind farms within the national grid. Job content :

Your team consist of 7 experienced designers and is part of the Engineering department of Elia. More specifically, it is dedicated to the design of the Telecom systems of the HV lines.

As the leader of this team, these will be your core responsibilities:

  • Planning of the activities:
    • Evaluate the workload of each individual in a fair and balanced way.
    • Conduct analyses that can lead to adaptations in the overall planning, both in terms of resources and time.
  • Team supervision (technical and organisational):
    • Organize the knowledge transfer within your team;
    •  Monitor the training path of your employees (both at technical level and soft skills);
    • Act as a coach in order to motivate your team;
    • You manage your team on a daily basis, ensure evaluations and performance management, you organize trainings and workshops whenever relevant.
  • Quality Management:
    • It is your responsibility to make sure quality standards are always respected on any of your projects’ team;
    • Organize and monitor the quality control process;
    • Organize “feedbacks” within your team and towards expertise services.
  • Transversal Collaboration:
    • Explain, debate and defend studies internally (Elia Engineering), with outsourcing partners or internal service responsible for commissioning tests (MAC / Telecontrol / Datacom) in more complex situations.
    • Assist the Project leaders in technical meetings with external clients.

Your profile :

  • You have a bachelor degree related to Energy, Electricity or Electromechanics or equivalent by experience;
  • You have at least 5 years of electrical design experience. Prior experience in energy or telecommunication equipment is a plus, but not mandatory;
  • You either have a first experience in people management or you consider yourself capable of leading a team;
  • You enjoy the engineering side of projects and would like to continue to develop your technical knowledge;
  • Flemish & French: you are fluent in at least one of these 2 languages and preferably have good bases in the other.

Als Teamleader van de chocoladeproductie zorg je dat de organisatie, de planning en de controle van het productieproces in lijn is met de gevraagde leveringstermijnen en de geldende kwaliteit- en veiligheidsnormen. Je bent hierbij verantwoordelijk voor een team van een 10-tal operatoren en rapporteert aan de Productie Manager.

  • Je stelt wekelijks de productieplanning en de personeelsplanning op;
